Sonfacts:
Heidi is an anime, a Japanese-produced animated film from 1974. It is based on the children's novel of the same name by Swiss author Johanna Spyri and tells the story of the orphan girl Heidi, who lives with her grandfather in the Swiss Alps and spends time in Frankfurt. The title song of the German-language version, sung by Gitti & Erika, forms the basis for the orchestral arrangement by Paul Riggenbach, commissioned by the Filmkunst-Musikverlag publishing house in Munich for symphony orchestra. The two-part lead vocals remain central to the orchestral arrangement. The structure corresponds to the film version, which can be heard in the YouTube video above (click on the arrow).
